If a commissioner like to discuss posting their finished commission on their own social media prior to us posting on our SYL platforms, then that commissioner needs to discuss that with us on making a possible arrangement. Our hoods are made from 100% authentic, high quality, real leather. (Other additional materials will be otherwise stated.) Soft on the skin and strong and sturdy in design. They are made with a lace backing, made to fit a variety of head sizes and fastening the hood securely your head. Great for moshing, playing, and picking up your favourite toy ;) **Backing can be laced or buckled design materials if getting a fully custom puppy/pet hood.

Flat rate shipping in US/Canada is $20 USD. Shipping Outside US/Canada varies pending on country/location. Our SYL Team will contact you after your purchase on all available shipping options and prices. (you can send us a message from the contact page on our website if like to get a shipping estimate prior to purchase) This rate DOES NOT include higher insurance policies or signature upon arrival for your product(s) when the package arrives. Yes, but depends on the location, shipping method, reason of request, etc... We can work with the customer on alternate shipping methods and expediate services if needed. Standard Model Hoods: Made to order hoods with no customizations. All these hoods have set designs created by our amazing team! There is a ton of different templated options, styles, and unique features to choose from for your hood. Once you are finished, you send us your design for purchase and we create it for you right away! (usually takes 3-4 weeks to complete your partial custom hood) Note: Make sure to review our pricing guide for all the options and features for the partial custom hoods located on the page. What are the avg cost of your standard model, partial custom, and fully custom hoods? What goes into the cost of a hood? For our Standard Model Hoods: The average cost is between $185 USD - $235 USD. Standard hoods have a set template and colour palette, meticulously deigned and thought out by our Team. With that being said, the pricing and cost being put into making one of these hoods can be set easily. For our Partial Custom Hoods: The starting cost is $245USD+. The price increases based on what additional templated designs and features you choose when making your hood with our Partial Custom Hood Creator. All prices additions are listed on the partial custom hood page under the pricing guide PDF. For our Fully Custom Hoods: The starting cost is at $350 USD+. The pricing increases due to the complexity of the design and amount of customization requested for the hood. Yes, there is a required 50% downpayment on your fully custom hood order once a finalized price and invoice is established. This is to solidfy your spot in the queue and help pay for any necessary materials to construct your hood.

Standard Hoods: Upon finalizing the purchase and making the payment of our non-custom hoods, customers are subject to a full refund before the hood is shipped out to them. If a customer receives our hoods and not happy with the fit or function of the hood, a full refund can be issued as long as the hood is returned back to us in its original, mint condition state (refund will be issued once confirmed and back in our possession). Hoods sent back to us in damaged or poor condition can be subject to decline in refund (based on our discretion). Must be sent back to us within 60 day return window from the time the customer receives their product in the mail (ask us if need further clarification). Partial: Full payment is required upon finalization and purchase of the partial custom hood order. If a customer opts out of their partial custom order, a full refund of their downpayment can be issued before the construction of their partial custom hood. If a customer cancels their custom order during construction of their hood, a 50% refund (of their full amount) can be issued to them. Customers who want to cancel their order after the completion of their hood, a 25% refund (of their full amount) can be issued to them and our company holds the right to sell the partial custom order/Hood at our own discretion. Fully Custom Hoods: A 50% downpayment is required upon finalization of the fully custom hood order. We would like to confirm your head size following our handy chart (see attachments). Just place a tape measure on the bridge of your nose, draw it around your head, along your cheek bones and connect it comfortably to just above the base of the back your head. Measurements can be in centimetres or inches. Specs for measurements are: 17” (43.18cm) – 18.5” (46.99cm) = Small 19” (49cm) – 23” (59cm) = Medium 23.5” (60.5cm) – 28” (72cm) = Large

If you have any questions, concerns, or need repairs on your hood, please feel free to contact us at scrapyardleather@gmail.com Hood care instructions: The most important rule is that leather will take on whatever shape it is given. Remember that leather is an organic material, thus it can develop creases and wrinkles if not properly taken care of. Storage The best way to store your hood is to purchase a simple Styrofoam head from a local craft store, like Michaels, or online and store it on the head when not in use in a cool and dry room. If needed, a hood can be hanged gently by its laces, allowing the head, muzzle and ears to swing freely If needed to be placed on a table or pile, always place gently and never place anything heavy on top as it will crush and damage the hood’s signature shape. Water/Moisture Leather is a porous material; thus, moisture can be absorbed and loosen the structural fibres. When drying, these fibres will reset and have the possible effect of changing the hood’s integral shape. while minor splashes and drops will be ok, excessive moisture will permanently damage any leather. Therefore, dry off any moisture that lands on your hood as soon as possible to be safe. If there is excessive sweat and heat, hang your hood in a cool dry room and let your hood dry completely in its original shape. Water-based and natural oil lubes are most safe when wearing leather products. Cleaning Leather safe wipes or saddle soap is best for hood cleaning Prepare as instructed and gently clean the desired area in a circular motion until clean and then dry with a towel. Do not aggressively or excessively clean as it can permanently damage the finish. Do not use dish or hand soap to clean your hood Travel Carry-on is best, but if put in a suitcase please follow these instructions. Plan your packing around the hood, preserving its shape is the top priority Place your hood where it will be least likely to be crushed when being handled or when items in a suitcase shift. This is most often near the bag’s handle and farthest away from its wheels (if any). That way, when items naturally shift downwards, the hood will be sitting on top of the weight, rather than the bottom. Double-check to make sure any hard edges are covered to prevent scratches and scuffs. Much like how you first received your hood, stuff your hood with small clothing items, like socks, undergarments, and some shirts to build out your hood’s original shape. Stuffing the space between standing ears will also help to preserve shape. When travel is complete, remove your hood as soon as possible and gently massage any creasing that may have occurred to return the hood to its shape and store it appropriately White or Brightly Coloured Leather If your purchase has lightly coloured leather, make sure no excessive rubbing occurs against another dark leather. Excessive close exposure may transfer dyes and permanently stain the brighter leather. This can occur more easily if the leather’s pores are opened from heat/moisture from activity. Eyeglass Slot Use 1. While the hood is off, flip your glasses upside down and slide the brims through the eye holes until centred. Your brims will now be upside down, coming out of either side of the eye holes, and pointing towards the muzzle. 2. Once centred, flip them right side up so the nose bridge of the eyeglasses remains inside, and the brims remain outside of the hood. 3. Slide the ear supports into the slots on either side. 4. Place the hood onto the head and secure it. We find this is the best visibility and most comfortable for long-wearing sessions. For quick application and short wearing sessions, place eyeglasses on the outside of your hood like you would apply normally.

Tips for hood care and travel Most important thing to remember is that leather keeps the shape it’s pressed into! Saddle soap or any other leather approved products can be used to clean your hood A leather protection spray can be used to help prevent water damage You can purchase cheap mannequin heads at michaels or other craft stores for easy display and to best keep the hood’s intended shape You can also use a stiff hat to keep the hood’s shape if a mannequin head cannot be obtained When traveling with a suitcase, place the hood in a section where it’s least likely going to be crushed by the case’s other contents, the top layer near the carrying handle is often best You can use socks and underwear to stuff the hood into its proper shape during travel Given their placement, ears are the most easily bent. Remember that with enough persuasion, ears can be bent and moulded into desired shape

Our bulldog harnesses come in 3 different options, which are all available to you. These options are: - $135 USD for the Standard Crossbow Harness (All black with brass or nickel rivets) - $160 USD for the Coloured Accent Crossbow Harness (A black base with the coloured accent, plus rivets selection which is either brass or nickel rivets) - $195 USD for the Custom Crossbow Harness For the custom bulldog harness you select 3 choices in the design: 1. The base/border colour 2. The top/accent colour 3. The metal rivet selection which is either brass or nickel *Note: The custom crossbow harness option is only available specifically to our current custom commissioners. What makes them unique is that you can choose and match a colour specific to your custom hood, that you might not normally find on gear typically sold online and in stores.

How to measure yourself properly for a harness: You measure around your chest ABOVE (not on) your nipples. **Refer to image below, measuring around your chest where the red dotted lines are located** Our sizing options for our leather harnesses are: - XS is 33” or less - Sm/Md is 34”-43” - LG/XL is 44”-50” - XXL is 51”-55”

Hold your arm with your hand relaxed and fingers gently outstretched. With your other hand, wrap the measuring tape snugly around the widest part of your wrist. Note the number on the measuring tape and add a half inch to determine the right wristband size!

Yes it can! All collars sizes can be adjusted up to 24 inches, free of charge (anything more will be subject to a fee). All sizing requests must be requested at the time of purchase.
